Did you know that the most dangerous intersection in the world has claimed more victims than all the other intersections combined yet it still remains without a signal light or stop sign? You may find this hard to believe but it’s true.

So, what is this intersection that has remained uncontrolled in spite of its infamous record of collision and confusion you may ask? Well, it’s the intersection where our expectations crosses and encounters reality.

Yes my friends many of us tend to enter situations and circumstances in our life with expectations of one thing only to find that the reality is completely another. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in marriage and relationships where one person is expecting certain actions and behaviors from another and vise-versa. Then slowly overtime both people may start to become frustrated, irritated and exasperated and may then start to look for an exit strategy which may include moving on to another relationship only to find over time that the results are the same.

To this I say there is an answer. This life has taught me that expectations and reality can better merge when advanced expectations are heard and observed. That’s right my friends, in this instance an ounce of prevention is surely worth a pound of cure. So, in any situation or circumstance in advance we must be sure to make our expectations heard so reality can better merge.

This is indeed a little breadcrumb that can help us all make better decisions and reduce future collisions. Let’s Make it GREAT!!!

I seem to find myself humming the lyrics of the legendary rock group Queen’s old 1980 hit song “Another One Bites the Dust” more-and-more lately because I’m continuing to see more-and-more “Good” people saying goodbye to social media. If you’re one of those “Good” people who’re considering the same please lend me your eyes and ears for just one meaningful moment.

Before pulling the plug I implore you to consider the not-so-hidden consequences of your actions. If all the so-called “Good” people choose to vacate the area where most people frequent and hang-out online and in life, then the not-so-good people will have a field day distributing drama, venting violence and narrating negativity unopposed.

Yes my friends, evil and negativity can ONLY thrive and survive in the absence of those who would stick around and do “Good”.

Simply put: Turning a blind eye to social media’s and online communities of congregation gives evil and negativity an unchallenged and unopposed platform to grow and expand across our great land attracting more-and-more fans as fast as it can.

So I implore you, whoever “You” are to STAY PUT!!! Take your place in this space and fight the “Good” fight spreading “Good News” and “Positive Press” as you make your positive presence known and felt. Our hurting humanity needs us now more than ever before because information is at our fingertips and all around us and it’s NOT all “Good”.

So, “Another one bites the dust”? I think NOT. NOT YOU!!! STAY PUT and let’s all do what it takes to Make it GREAT!!!

GREAT DAY!!!

Oh, and it’s always Ok to share if you dare…

Our physical bodies are tangible vehicles that have been given to us for our souls to express our feelings and emotions through and carry out our life’s-work while we’re on this journey through space and time. The catch is, these physical bodies are limited and only have a finite amount of time for us to occupy them. Then they have to be returned back to the dust of the earth from which they were birthed.

Yes my friends, none of us are exempt and we’ll all have to eventually give up these physical vessels and return them whence-they-came. The unfortunate thing is we’re NOT like a milk carton or loaf of bread so you can’t just flip us over and determine our expiration date.

Nope, we don’t know when, where, why or how our end will come, but we do know for sure that it “will” eventually come. Then the next journey begins.

Yes that’s right my friends, I believe that our inner being, soul, spirit, energy source or whatever you choose to call it has to transition and transfer to another realm which no man or woman can accurately detail, describe or define. And, as such, all that will be left then is an account of what we did with our physical vessels in our allotted space and time.

So, we press-on to make good, positive use of our fallible, physical flesh before the clock of our days tick for the last time. Let’s strive to make our life’s work so GREAT that we receive a big spiritual high-five on the other side.

Here’s your high-five in advance SMACK!!!

I did a little research recently and was surprised to discover that the overwhelming majority of people who die in a fire don’t actually die from the “fire”, they die from the smoke created by the fire. Yes my friends, it’s NOT the fiery heat, it’s the smoky release.

After giving it a bit of thought I realized that this phenomenon also exist when we’re dealing with others. When someone speaks to us with a flagrant tone of disrespect in derision and disregard, the fiery words may only sting for a moment, but the lingering memory and impact of what was said in the moment can cause an untold amount of damage, if we let it.

So a good question today is, “Have you been scorched by the fiery words of someone lately? Has your ego been burned or singed by the flames of a flagrant friend? Has your character been charred or your self-esteem seared by the hot blistering words of a reckless bitter individual with malice intent?” Hmmm…

Well I’ve got good news for you today. We can let the fiery words of others burn-as-it-may as long as we make a point to steer-clear of the smoke.

Simply put: We can’t control what people say to us, but we can always control what we allow their words to do to us. So don’t be so quick to inhale the smoke created by someone’s flagrantly fiery words of malice. Let those words burn-baby-burn while we attempt to keep-on Making it GREAT!

GREAT WEEKEND !!!

“I’m afraid I won’t like it.” was my daughter’s words before my wife started on her seven hour, hand-numbing journey to give Chayse her first braided hair-doo .

I then told her, “How will you know unless you go?” Then she uttered these words that made me think, and made me laugh, “Dad, your life is like one big motivational speech.” LOL

Yep, she’s a pretty sharp little girl, and she’s funny too. But her statement got me to thinking about what descriptive words would best describe the life I’m living. Hmmm… I’ve gotta think about this one a bit, but “Motivational Speech” is a good start. LOL

So what’s your descriptive words for life? No need to answer it here, just make sure you’re crystal clear and Make it GREAT!!!

Oh by-the-way, she loves her new hair-doo. “You’ll never know unless you go.”
