Was blindsided this Magnificent-Monday-Morning by an old temptation and had to turn and flee. That’s right my friends, I’m not afraid to run away every-now-and-then and I’m sure that I’m not alone. So my prayer for all who qualify as imperfect today is, “Lord, keep us on the ‘Straight-and-Narrow’ because we tend to drift to the “Crooked-and-Wide’”.

This “life” thing has taught me that the best way to build credibility and connection with others in any capacity is transparency. Details aren’t always necessary but expression of the presence and existence of weakness or flaws in a man or woman allows realistic identification in others.

So, no matter what picture many try to paint of themselves from a podium, platform or pedestal, we’re NOT all perfect. In fact, no “Perfect” people are allowed in the most meaningful crowd so don’t be afraid to say it loud. I’ll go first, “I’M NOT PERFECT!!!” but I’m perfect for this journey called “life”. So, dare to join me on the journey of striving daily for perfection in an imperfect world.

Let’s Make it GREAT!!! Getting better every day. 😉

Feeling the pressure of a little adversity lately? Well, I’ve found that a little adversity every now-and-then gives us a chance to build up our resilience muscles.

Just think of it like being given a vaccine. When given a vaccination we receive an injection of a little bit of the virus that we’re trying to prevent and in turn our bodies are able to build up an immunity.

The same exist for adversity. A little adversity helps us to build up a tolerance and resilience so that we can better handle adversity in the future.

So, understanding the meaning of vaccining can actually give adversity a whole new meaning.

Simply put: Embracing your vaccination just might help your situation. Let’s Make it GREAT!!!

I’ve been doing that “thinking” thing again lately and I’ve come up with a new “Cedricism” (As someone once called it.) and here it is: “You can’t talk a chicken into laying eggs, you just have to wait until it makes up its own mind.”

That’s right folks no matter what you say or how loud you say it, that chicken is not going to cooperate until it’s ready. Did you know that the same exist for us humans too? Yes, it’s extremely important that we realize and recognize that no matter what we do, we simply can’t change a person that’s not ready and willing to change.

There’s an old adage that says, “A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.” which simply means coercing and forcing someone to change doesn’t really change them. All the love in this great world of ours is not enough to compel the unwilling to take a different course of positive action.

So, I encourage you NOT to waste and spend your time over the years begging and pleading for a friend or foe or loved one to change. Our time should be invested in other productive things until the change is welcomed by the one who needs it most. This is when “real change” can happen.

So until then, continue to love on that “chicken” from a safe distance until it’s ready to lay those eggs, then step in and offer your support. Besides, eggs taste so much better when they’re laid with love.

So, why did the chicken cross the road? Because his family kept telling him to change, but he wasn’t ready. LOL…

Let’s Make it GREAT!
