Ok, I must admit that I’m totally guilty of making several bad choices yesterday and you would’ve been pretty disappointed in my actions. I offer it on full display for you today in hopes that you will catch a glimpse of what NOT to do. Then, as always I’ll be sure to end it with a positive twist.

First of all I started my day a bit late getting out of bed at about 10:00am and totally skipped the most important meal of the day which is breakfast, only to make up for lost opportunity by eating a BIG lunch that had almost no nutritional value whatsoever.

I spent a very unproductive hour or two in my office on the internet watching videos of stuff that’s not going to make me any better. Then to top it off, I skipped dinner and over the span of an hour or two later I found myself eating a grand total of one Snickers Bar, two scoops of Rite-aid ice-cream, one chocolate-chip cookie and a Grab-bag size of Funyuns.

Now if this type of action and eating could send a person to Hell, I’d be headed straight down with gasoline underwear on. LOL 🙂 But here’s the good news:

Yesterday is now in the history books and I’ve been endowed with a fresh new day full of fresh new choices to make and I’m off to a GREAT start.

I’d like to encourage you today to understand that we all are capable of making bad choices and engaging in unfruitful actions and the person that says they’re not is a person that’s trying to sell you something, SO DON’T BUY IT !!!

As a leader, parent, person in power or authority it is vitally important that we be transparent in our struggles, troubles and shortcomings so that others will have the opportunity to see that we’re “Similar” and not “Special”. This can then open up avenues and mental doors in the minds of many who would’ve otherwise been closed to any notion or possibility that they could be better and do better.

You can miss breakfast, lunch or dinner today but please don’t miss this message. Today is a NEW DAY and you can start over and WIN! So get-on out there today I say and make those good choices again and Make it GREAT! I’ll go first……. 😉

One of the few guarantees and predictable constants in our life is “Change” but no matter where the years may take us, one thing that should never change is our unshakeable willingness to be better.

That’s right folks, no matter what you did yesterday, good or not-so-good, today is a new day and this new day is full of new choices to make. But it is up to us to make some good ones. The way I figure it is, we can always better our best, so we should choose to get better and continue to push toward Making it GREAT!

Yep, “Change” may be inevitable for most, but there’s no changing our resolve to be better every day than we were yesterday even if it means choosing an entirely different direction in life.

So what’s your plan for today? No need to answer or post it here, just make sure your plan is crystal clear and Make it GREAT!

After just celebrating my 43rd birthday, I started to think about what would I want to tell the “me” of 30 years ago as a 13-year-old kid.

After careful thought I would simply tell that little guy to “hang-on in there because the adversity you’re going through is preparing and molding you into that person you’ll need to be years from now so that you can share your story with others of what it takes to overcome and become something special.”

So what’s your story? What words of advice would you give that little guy or gal you once were? I invite you to consider leveraging your story for the good of those around you in this great world of ours and help others to believe that they can overcome and Make it GREAT!

Someone is quietly counting on you to inspire them so don’t let’em down. Not today. 🙂

This MLK Day I thought that in honor of “The Dreamer” Martin Luther King Jr. I would take a snapshot of what my dreams are and then take a few more positive steps toward accomplishing them. Well, truth be told, I actually manage to engage in this progressive act on a regular basis.

On this day of remembrance I’d like to encourage you to not just “Dream” about it, whatever “it” is for you, but to be about it. Take a little time to reflect on what you’ve done and what it is that you really want to do, then start taking the necessary steps toward getting it done.

So, let’s continue in hot pursuit of our worthwhile goals and dreams and Make it GREAT!

Ask the question of what does “Success” mean and you’re sure to get a hundred different answers, but I think we can all agree that more than anything else “success” is a feeling.

Yes my friends, real success can no doubt give you a “feeling” of accomplishment and a sense of a job-well-done. So in whatever noble cause or endeavor that you’re embarking on, may you persevere and hang around long enough for the “feeling” of success to show-up for you and be sure to Make it GREAT!
