So exactly how many times do you find yourself pressing that  snooze button on your alarm clock in the morning before actually getting up and starting your day?  Hmmm…

Or maybe an even better question is exactly how many times are you going to continue to press the snooze button on your life’s biggest goals and dreams before you actually get up and start taking some action-steps toward making them reality?

When exactly are you going to get started with pursuing those things that you really want to do in this life?   And most importantly, how will today be any different than yesterday or any other day?  Hmmm…

Yes indeed these are some tough questions but I’ve found that tough questions can oftentimes lead to life-changing answers.

Continuing to put-off till tomorrow that which you can start doing today has never and will never yield positive results because tomorrow never comes.  Truth be told, we really don’t even have today.  All we have is this specific moment in time right now.

So I encourage you today to go ahead and keep the alarm clock but please consider getting rid of the snooze button and master your moments NOW because your tomorrow will never come and times-a-ticking.

So get on your way to making it GREAT today!

It never ceases to amaze me to see how many people stumble through life neglecting or completely ignoring the development of the number one most important skill this side of the universe.

This skill is without a doubt the key ingredient to any recipe for success.  It’s the salsa that makes the chips of life taste so much better and it’s the single most important factor in the formula for accomplishing your biggest goals and dreams.

The most influential leaders of all time have mastered this skill and leveraged it for good and not-so-good means down through the years.  Philosophers and intellectuals the world over have hailed this skill as being the undisputed heavyweight champion, difference-maker that separates and distinguishes humans from any other species on the planet.

So what exactly is this over-looked, underused, juggernaut skillset you ask?  Well it’s quite simply the skill and the ability to Communicate.  Yes my friends communication is the fuel that makes the world go round.  Growing this skill to its full potential is definitely worthy of our best of efforts but “most people” have resigned themselves to give it no effort at all.

Mastering this skill is definitely not an overnight process but the ongoing process of mastering it can yield HUGE dividends and desired results in more ways than one in your life.

So I say to you, You and yes YOU too on this day, commit to master this skill and watch all of your biggest goals and dreams come true.  Now let’s all go out there and communicate our way to GREATNESS and make it GREAT!

I had the unique opportunity to make my day Great x 2 last night when me and one of my group-home boys EJ had the chance to hang out with a group of people that the ”Good Book” (bible) refers to as “The Least of These”.  An odd group of six homeless people they were as they gathered next to a large barbeque pit fire in the night at one of the local city parks.

To my surprise I was received as if I was a bit of a celebrity amongst the group because one of them had my book “Bread Crumbs to Making it Great” and had been reading it daily to the group.  Wow, I must admit that I wasn’t expecting this type of reception and I felt extremely honored by it.

Me and EJ had some great conversation with them chatting about some of their favorite stories in the book and some of their goals for the future.  “Well, it looks like the fire is dying down and we’re going to need some more wood.” stated Red, who was the group leader.

After an awkward moment of silence, I spoke up and said, “Me and EJ will go and find some wood.”  EJ looked up at me with a surprised face with a smile and then Me, EJ and Red ventured off into the darkness with one small intermittent flash light looking for wood.

Minutes later we ran across several large limbs on the ground and began to break off a few of the smaller pieces to drag back to the camp.  After we got back to the camp we joined the crew in tossing a few branches and dried leaves on the fire.  “Now we’re ready to barbeque!” exclaimed Red.  So they pulled out some freshly purchased raw chicken and topped off the night.

There didn’t appear to be much to go around so Me and EJ didn’t stick around to join them in dinner but we did leave them a few personally signed copies of my book and a little money to buy a tree-limb cutter so they could easily cut up the downed limbs for future firewood during the cold winter season that’s upon us.

To see the look on EJ’s face was priceless as he was super-eager to be the one to give them the books, the wood and the money to help them make it a great day.  We high-fived each other as we got back to the truck and then drove on back to the group home with a big smile on our face knowing that we had just invested two productive hours into making someone else’s day Great.

May our little adventure remind you that these types of opportunities are all around us every day, we just have to be intentional about seizing them.  “The Least of These” is waiting for people like us to step up and be accounted for.  Will you be able to do your fair-share?  Can we count on you to NOT be stingy with your good-fortune and be the exception not just this Thanks Giving season, but in every season?  Hmmm…

Many will find an excuse, but I hope and pray that you will find a way to make someone else’s day Great.

I got a two-for-one this time around.  The homeless group got a blessing and little EJ got to play a huge part in it all.  Not soon shall I forget this one.

So get-on out there and get involved in your own creative way and make a difference in the lives of the “Least of These” in your respective areas of this great world of ours.  And, never-ever-forget that we only get one time through this “life” thing, so let’s continue in our collective efforts to Make it GREAT!

Was having a PC (Power-Chat) with my good friend Bryan Adams yesterday and he reminded me of a phenomenon that many people fall victim to all over the world.  This is as a result of our physical eyesight causing us to be distracted from positive messages of hope and direction.

He stated that many people often times miss the message of the content because of the package that the message of the content was delivered in.  Yes this is so true and I couldn’t agree more.

Just because someone doesn’t physically “look the part” of a person of influence and good knowledge and wisdom doesn’t mean that they’re not capable of delivering a message of the same.

Some of the most profound and inspirational messages of deliverance, hope and prosperity have been delivered from men and women who didn’t necessarily “look the part” or have the illustrious background that most would normally expect.

So don’t be so quick to overlook or completely dismiss messages from those who may not “look the part” because wisdom has no respect of persons.  It can come from the young, the old, the rich-&-famous or the down-trodden.

So pay close attention in the days ahead and look for the “ring of truth” in areas both high and low and leverage it to make your life GREAT!

When is the last time you had a PC?  Hmmm…  It always works for me…  Keep Making it GREAT!

I was on my way to an important appointment early this morning and I was involved in a major vehicle accident involving six other vehicles.  I was very fortunate to walk away without a scratch on me and my vehicle only sustained minor damage.

In the heated moment I found myself totally forgetting about my appointment and scrambling to others in thier vehicles in an attempt to make sure the people involved were ok.  Then I saw a small crowd forming around a person that was screaming in pain.  As I hurriedly approached the crowd I remember thinking, “Lord, why couldn’t this accident have just happened a few stop-lights further down the road to someone else?” but then immediately my second thought was that I would get involved and feel equally as compassionate and concerned for those other people too.

As I approached the crowd I saw a few friends that I knew and then before I could see who the severely injured person was, my alarm clock went off and I woke up.  Whoaaa!!!  Yep that’s right folks, it was all just a dream.  Well, thank God for that.

You know I’ve found that often times our sleep dreams can reveal who we truly are and how we truly will feel and react under certain situations and circumstances.  It didn’t matter who these people were I still would’ve done all I could to help.

I was speaking to a bunch of Principles and Administrators a couple of days ago at a retreat and I advised them that “Adversity” is never convenient and it has an uncanny way of managing to pop in and out of our lives at the most inopportune times.  But I invite you to consider today that this “Adversity” shows up to test your true “You” and thereby make you stronger for your road ahead.

I received a call two days ago advising me that my Aunt Mary died and our family once again faces a bit of unexpected uneasiness and “adversity”, but no worries because we know she’s alright and we too shall be alright. She and her husband Uncle Ernest were always known for preaching the word for people to “Stay Ready”.

My acronymic definition for A-D-V-E-R-S-I-T-Y is:  the Ability to Develop Via Experiencing Rough Situations that Involuntarily Train You.  So I encourage you to make an effort to stay in the right mindset that allows you to make a positive impact even in the worst of situations and circumstances as they arrive, when they arrive because no doubt they’re coming to us all.

So stay steady and “Stay Ready” as my Aunt Mary would say to face and overcome your “Adversity” in a positively bold way and Make it GREAT!

I have some pretty cool tools that can keep you in the right mind frame and help you stay ready for just about anything and you can pick some up at my website:  www.TheInspirationStore.com.  So check it out if you’d like.  It works for me…

Let’s continue to lean forward in this “life” thing and Make it GREAT because we really don’t know how much of it we have left.
