Are you up for a friendly round of “Truth or Dare” this week? Ok, here goes…

I “Dare” you to commit a completely Random-Act-of-Kindness (RAK) to a complete stranger then post the “Truth” about their reaction and how it made you feel. This type of activity is actually contagious and it certainly would be nice if we started a full-blown RAK-Epidemic.

Oh, by-the-way, this RAK doesn’t have to be with money and it doesn’t have to be anonymous. You can be as creative as you “Dare” to be. 😉

Wanta play? Well, you have an entire week. So, Ready, Set, GO!

The late, great author Mark Twain is credited with the famous quote of, “The two most important days in our life is the day we were born and the day we found out why.” Although this sounds good, I believe that Mark Twain fell just a little bit short of getting it totally right.

I humbly submit that there are actually three most important days in our life and NOT just two. One is definitely the day we were born, the second is the day we found out “why” and the most important day should be the day we committed to do something about it.

That’s right folks, just knowing about “Why” we were born is never enough, we have to actually take some action-steps and live-out our “why” to positively impact the world around us.

So, I guess a good question to ponder this week is, Have you found your “Why” yet? Or, maybe an even better question is, Are you even looking? And finally, if/when you find it, are you prepared to act on it? Hmmm… You don’t have to answer these questions here, just make sure you’re crystal clear.

The world is counting on you to take your “Why” and make it GREAT! Let’s make this week so awesome that last week gets insanely jealous. Let’s Make it GREAT!!!

It can be your most formidable foe or your bestest of friends,
Depending on the physical state that it’s in.

It can rain down on your head or slide under your feet.
And the path of least resistance is usually what it seeks.

Too much of it causes death and not enough causes devastation.
But it’s essential to sustaining life when it’s used in moderation.

It can sprinkle, it can splash, it can flow it can crash.
All living things need it even the trees and the grass.

Our planet it covers by a fraction of two-thirds.
It governs the seasons and the migration of the herds.
It even dictates the paths of the flight of the birds,
And the outcome of battles between ISIS and Kurds.

Some hike for miles to get it in the driest regions of the planet,
While others just turn on the tap and usually take it for granted.

By now you may know what this element is,
Which all must consume in order to live.

Its importance is undeniable in the circle of life.
For lack of it will surely cause stress, strain and strife.

The planet can get no more of it and never any less.
So, we should take care of what we have and treat it with our best.

Yes, the same has been consumed by even ancient dinosaurs,
By every plant and nut eater and every meat carnivore.

This resource will need to be used by our sons and our daughters.
So let’s do what we can from day-to-day to preserve and protect our vital water.

Let’s Make it GREAT!

Got a question for you today, “How’s that backpack of yours looking lately?”

At the end of our journey through this “life” thing we must make sure that our backpack is empty before we crossover to the other side. “Empty of what” you may ask? Well, empty of the gifts, talents and potential that was placed inside of us at birth.

You see, most people bumble and stumble their way through this “life” thing caught up in minutia and mundane meaningless movement in survival mode and they miss out on the opportunity to leverage their gifts and talents to make a positive impact in the lives of others and help our hurting humanity.

Yes that’s right my friends, many of us are destined to reach the end of our life’s journey only to hand over our backpacks still full of unrealized potential, unused talents and unopened gifts with the tags and wrapping paper still on them. I truly believe that one of the biggest tragedies this side of the universe is a life lived in the absence of the use of one’s God-given potential, so please don’t let this be you.

I invite you today to consider that we just might be the Tylenol for someone else’s headache, heartache and pain in this “life” thing. There’s a good chance that we just might be the miracle for that special someone or someone’s who are desperately waiting for us to step fully into the role of our gifts and talents to help inspire and encourage them to win.

Quite frankly, I believe that the use of our talents, gifts and story alone is meant to impact a select group of people on this great planet of ours so let’s NOT let them down, not in this life. Let’s recommit to be the exception to the unwritten rule that most people have unknowingly bought into. Let’s make sure that our backpacks are empty and void of any and all unused potential.

Let’s be the ones who invest a life-time in taking our unique gifts, talents and God-given potential and making it GREAT so that others might do the same.

Let’s Make it GREAT!!!

Ever woke up in the morning feeling excited and ready to take-on the world? Well, this morning was not one of those mornings for me, but something special happened and I just had to share it in this short poem I wrote:

I woke up early this morning and was feeling kinda down,
But I took an extreme power walk and turned it all around.

I came back to my office and sat down at my desk,
And I asked myself the question, “How could I help the rest”.

So I grabbed my trusted keyboard and created this short poem,
And hopefully you can use it to get you through your storm.

There’s something I discovered just a few short years ago.
If you change your body’s physical state, so too your mind will flow.

That’s right,

Your body will usually dictate just what your mind will feel.
Those who’ve learned to alter their state are masters of this skill.

So, if you woke this morning and you’re feeling kinda blue,
Leverage this technique of body & mind and I’m sure it’ll help you too. 😉

Now get-on out there and change your fate,
And take this “good” day and Make it GREAT!
