On our quest for gain we must prepare to go through some discomfort and pain. Yes my friends, real gain in the absence of discomfort and pain can never be obtained or sustained.

So since this is true, we should seek-out the pain and the strain because it’s there we will eventually find our gain. That’s right folks, it’s just simple physics. The painful part of the workout means the most. The unpredictable situations that cause stress and strain are where the growth is obtained. And, the uncomfortable areas outside of our “normal” routine during the day will always pave the way.

So whoever coined the phrase “No Pain, No Gain” was absolutely right. I’d like to say it this way, “A break from the norm can help us to transform.” So don’t be afraid to change a few things and watch what it brings.

Let’s Make it a GREAT WEEK!

Anyone that really knows me will probably agree with this photo. It’s just my way, so what can I say. 😉

Life’s just too short to be living it with a dill-pickle face. Don’t get too close to me are you just might get splashed with a little bit of positivity. 😉

One of the best ways to determine who we really are and what we’re really about deep down inside can be judged by how we actually treat people in our dreams.

I had a dream last night that I was being verbally attacked by a burly white man for a petty reason and after a minute or so of me attempting to be nice, I finally responded back by calling him a “white honky”. I then quickly realized that I had been sucked into his world of frustration and anger, so in spite of what he had been calling me, I immediately apologized for referring to him as such a word. As a result, he surprisingly changed his tune and became cordial and friendly to me.

I honestly can say that I haven’t used such a word since I was in grade school growing up in Texas. Truth be told, I really don’t even know what the word means to refer to someone as such a name. The bottom line is that this action certainly serves as proof positive that there are still remnants of the “old me” still somewhere deep down inside no doubt. But I’m still happy to say the “new & improved me” continues to rule the day in every way by getting me back on track with kindness and compassion, and that is definitely the reason for my smile.

So how are you treating people in your dreams lately? Hmmm… Feel like you’re in need of a change deep down inside? No need to answer it here, just make sure your crystal clear and let’s Make it GREAT!

Our words are easy to say but tougher to display because “self” gets in the way.

Yes my friends, “saying” it and “displaying” it are two totally different things. Demonstration verses just Articulation can benefit almost any Situation, so don’t just tell’em what to do, show’em how to do it and help’em get through it. Put “self” aside and come-alongside others to help them not just stay alive, but also thrive and survive.

This is indeed a valuable breadcrumb that can lead you to helping others to Make it GREAT!

GREAT DAY!!!

So, I’m sitting in my office right now listening to the idle-chatter of conversation that’s coming from my kids and their Mom in the other room. They’re all swapping funny stories of past events and as they all are laughing I suddenly found myself smiling at my desk as I realize how blessed I am to have kids who are genuinely joyful and almost never in need.

Then I’m reminded of the fact that they won’t always be here sharing these four walls of our home together. Yes, they will eventually grow up to have their own families and be tasked with making their own memories inside their own four walls. Well, it should come as no surprise that we as parents will all one day have to realize this sobering reality.

So since this is true, I believe that it’s vitally important that we model a home of love, kindness, understanding, respect and reasonable stability. These things will no doubt increase the chances of us producing kids with a healthy mind and an internal joy that is not easily taken away by the outside world.

Yes my friends, nothing makes me smile more than knowing that my wife and kids have a sense of comfort in knowing that they can continually let their hair down, laugh, cry, speak openly and express themselves and be themselves without fear of reprisals or repercussions. I pray that many of you are fortunate enough to experience the same inside your four walls as well.

Yes, I’m feeling a little bit blessed right about now, so I think I’ll stop writing and go in there and join my crew 🙂 LOL… Let’s make this week so Awesome that last week gets insanely jealous.

MAKE IT AWESOME !!!
